Marylynn and Randy live in Queen Creek now, in a beautiful home they built on a beautiful tree-shaded lot. They had lived in Chandler before, and we’re so glad to have them close by…with the rest of our five children who live in Queen Creek. Randy worked very, very hard doing all the beautiful tile work in the kitchen, bathrooms, showers, floors etc. He is a great carpenter and can do or make anything. He is working hard getting the outside landscaping, water lines, fruit trees etc. in. He has recently made a horse fence across the back of his property as good as any professional could. Randy works in an investment, real estate, estate planning company in Mesa and is doing really well. They have almost gotten out of their ColdStone ice cream business. They had owned several stores and did all right, but decided it wasn’t worth the constant problems, pressures and worries, both with the Corporate business and with keeping their managers and employees staffed, and dealing with the theft of the employees. Hopefully, there are better days ahead! He is Scout Master in his Ward and is very good at taking the scouts on campouts and works hard at doing it just right.
Marylynn is the Stake Young Women’s Secretary and has been very busy, along with Brenda, Adrienne and Joanne, getting ready for Camp. It was a huge success and from all reports she did a great job with the girls. She has been SO busy with ColdStone for years that it will be a great release of pressure when this last store sells! She has mostly borne the “brunt of the business.” It has really kept her busy and under pressure, plus moving into a new home and getting it finished, inside and out…and being patient during the long process!
Jeremy is going to school in Utah and we wish him much success in life. Lyndsay recently married Adam Pierce in the Logan Temple and we’re very happy for them and wish them a very happy and wonderful life.
Dakota will be in the 8th grade this next year, either in Queen Creek or somewhere in Pinal County, not sure yet, hoping for Queen Creek. He has grown very tall and good looking. He works for a neighbor, tending his Arabian horses. He works real hard for him, mornings and evenings. He and Hunter have always been real good, hard workers for Ed here on the farm. And they don’t complain…they just do whatever they’re asked to do, shoveling, hoeing, chopping, etc. Hunter will be in 4th grade at Harmon Elementary this year. He’s a good student, a happy, smiling boy and a joy to his parents.
